MORE FUN

Here I am with one of my favorite Christmas things.

I had to show Daniel again and explain what he is doing. Charles brought over one of his Christmas presents, an electronic guitar that plays on the big screen TV. Daniel liked it so much that he played for two days solid. He must have thought he was a rock star. I finally had to tell him I was getting a headache to get him t0 stop. The music was so loud and rotten, if he had played it when he was a teenager, he would have been grounded for two weeks. We played a lot of card games during the holidays. Every night Daniel and Heather wanted to play Rook or Canasta. Daniel and I would pair off and try to beat the women, with no avail. Heather and Mom seemed to always win. Julie and Leif and the boys were over and would get involved with the games. Lots of fun.
Christmas morning was very exciting. especially with Daniel, Heather, Isabelle and Aubree there. Santa Claus treated us all very well. Daniel bought himself and Heather expensive watches that never need batteries and are run by solar energy. With his persuasive ability he convinced me to buy one for Mom. She loves it and wears it all the time. She has always had trouble with watch batteries. Daniel also said he saw on an infomurcial on TV, a Sonic Knife that would cut any thing. He said he was going to buy one for Heather for Christmas and that I should purchase one for Mom. This is Mother opening the Sonic Knife. Oh, by the way it's not quite as good as Daniel thought, it won't cut everything. Daniel did not invest in one, yet. Here's Daniel, dreaming of things he can convince me to buy.
Charles is a fanatic about board games. Here's one he found , it's called Ticket to Ride. It's about setting up a train on a board that goes from city to city in Germany. The person who completes the most routes wins. Every night for about 4 nights, Daniel, Heather, Charles, Me, and sometimes Heather's brother Mark, would play this exciting game until about 2 O'clock in the morning. It is a very fun game.
The holiday is over and all have gone home. Everything is very quiet, and it is going to take us a while to get back to the normal things of life. The first day it was so quiet, we had to take off to St. George and do a little shopping. We will enjoy visiting with our children soon. We always miss them.

FUN at HOME for the HOLIDAYS
